When there is a change or transition in our lives, hope can be tested in at least one of three areas: our relationships; our health; in what we earn through what we do. These areas make up the bulk of our identity, so the battle for hope is the battle for destiny.

It’s essential we understand the process of hope – not so we have an answer for the invariable “why,” but so we can have endurance to the end.

• How do you know your hope is secure?
• What do you do when you feel at the end of your rope and the axiom “tie a knot and hang on” just doesn’t seem to encourage you?
